"The more you read, the more things you will know. The more that you will learn, the more places you'll go."
- Dr. seuss
Why read? It's a question every person gets asked at least once in their lives. Why read? Each response varies from each individual causing some replies to be optimistic while others are pessimistic. Some people say they read to expand their vocabulary resulting in presenting themselves as a more intelligent person; on the other hand other people say reading is a chore and isn't as entertaining as say a movie or TV show. Why read? If you asked me why I read before taking my creative writing, I would say "I don't have time" or "reading puts me to sleep". However after a semester long class of silent reading and reading rates, I would simply say that reading is a way to improve basic skills and a way to escape reality. For my new found perspective of reading, I have constructed a list of favorite and least favorite books that everyone should read. Scroll down and enjoy!
